The following research assigned to the international macro project “Education in Biology and Construction of Citizenship, A Latin American Perspective” is based on the Agroecology is an influential interdisciplinary science in Latin America. Deepen knowledge, the living conditions, and the territories, being related to citizenships for today. It seeks to identify the state of the articulation of agroecology in the school environment and its relationship with citizenship in the reports of the National Congress (2011-2019) and Latin American (2022) teaching of biology and environmental education. A documentary review is used from two filters, one of the presentations associated with teaching of biology (EB), natural sciences (ECN), and citizenship, from characteristics of inclusion and another of documents that presented explicit words of agroecology. Attached, carried out a content analysis based on indicating at what school level the documents and guiding questions that characterize principles, horizons, and purposes educational, citizenship, and relationship to EB and ECN. As a results, it stands out that the selected works have been constant in recent years, The level of schooling is in basic and secondary formal education. The principles of agroecology emphasize practice as part of the school process, since the strategies and educational programs focus on the school garden. The training horizon is based on learning and dialogue of scientific and traditional knowledge, in addition to a training process reflective and critical for action and change in the environment. The investigative and educational purposes are relegated to a process of apprehension of the science in dialogue with other knowledge, also of dimensioning and acting for the Environmental care. This is due to two main citizenships, cultural and environmental, Scientific citizenship is also recognized. The contribution to the EB and ECN is to enhance scientific knowledge, recognition, and interaction with others and promote other perceptions. In conclusion, the articulation of agroecology to the school represents an emerging field and proposes a construction of citizenship based on an understanding of scientific knowledge and diversities. It proposes sensitive, reflective, and critical training of the current situations. natural, social, cultural, and political, address inequities and the deterioration of the territory. Promotes a transformative process of knowledge and action for environmental well-being as humans, this represents one of the necessary bets so that in Colombia and Latin America through education there is a change and dignification of what is alive and of life.
