Identificación de pérdidas de agua durante el proceso de potabilización en la planta de tratamiento agua potable operada por la Empresa de Servicios Públicos de Acueducto, Alcantarillado y Aseo del Líbano Tolima - EMSER E.S.P.

Abstract

The Public Services Company of Aqueduct, Sewerage, and Cleaning of Líbano Tolima - EMSER E.S.P provides the aqueduct, sewerage, and cleaning service to the municipality of Líbano in the department of Tolima in Colombia. According to institutional diagnosis, the company EMSER E.S.P. for the year 2021 registers an index of non-revenue water (NRW of 60%, which has represented severe economic losses for the company. To respond to this need, a methodology is proposed that is It constitutes a physical diagnosis to identify the water losses that occur during the purification process at the Drinking Water Treatment Plant (PTAP), according to the guidelines of the booklet Unaccounted for Water in smaller municipalities and rural areas of the Ministry of Environment, Housing and Territorial Development (MAVDT), and evaluation hydraulics in accordance with resolution 0799 of 2021, which partially modifies the resolution 0330 of 2017. According to what was found in the diagnosis, a control and reduction program was proposed for IANC which is made up of activities aimed at achieving greater efficiency in the operating conditions of the plant, with this the objective of the internship was fulfilled and contributed to the solution of the economic problem of the company EMSER E.S.P.
