Resumen
This report presents the internship experience as a volunteer for the Tutoring Program for Learning and Comprehensive Training (PTAFI 3.0) of the Ministry of National Education (MEN), as a teacher in training for the Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education at the Francisco José de Caldas District University. This process was carried out in the municipality of Piedecuesta, Santander, at the Humberto Gómez Nigrinis School, with the participation of students from 4th and 5th grades. This project was carried out within the framework of the creation and implementation of a center of interest on literature and art, called "Legends in words and brushes: an artistic and literary experience in the digital age", whose objective was to contribute to the comprehensive knowledge formation of students through an approach that combines literary and artistic creativity. Taking into account that we are in a context where collective memory and oral tradition are at risk of being lost due to a growing lack of interest, this project proposed to rescue these stories through an educational process that involved both creation and artistic expression. In this approach, the construction of narratives was promoted that not only allowed boys and girls to connect with their cultural roots, but also to explore new forms of artistic expression. The methodological approach focused on a participatory process where students had the opportunity to research, create and share their own legends. Activities included research into traditional stories and family stories to creative writing. Throughout this process, the importance of memory was emphasized as a fundamental element for the construction of individual and collective identity, promoting in students a greater understanding and appreciation of their cultural heritage, highlighting that, if these processes of oral tradition are left aside, there will come a time when we will lose an important part of our history. The experience not only facilitated the development of academic skills, such as reading, writing and the arts, but also the strengthening of transversal skills such as creativity, teamwork, oral expression and critical thinking. This report contains the details of the project, from its planning to its implementation and evaluation, highlighting the lessons learned and the significant contributions to the comprehensive training of students. This project was fundamental to my growth as a teacher in training, as it allowed me to connect the learning acquired throughout my career with educational practice; In addition, the implementation of the focus center not only enriched my teaching skills, but also gave me the opportunity to experience the impact of active and participatory learning on students. Through the creation of legends and artistic exploration, I was able to see how children not only developed academic skills, but also cultural values and socio-emotional skills.
