Abstract

"Well, if you are not determined ... We are!" Memories of permanence and territorial defense of the Mempa association, includes actions and thougths from south Colombia, in the "Bajo Putumayo", wich are being considered by the women who are part of the Perla Amazónica peasant reserve area. It also describes their commitment to collective life and the work they have been doing in order to transform the capitalist conditions that based on extractivism and drug trafficking have imposed war on their territory, it is likewise a struggle to gradually change the patriarchal relations that are part of their daily life. It describe as well the exchange process that occurred with the purpose of drawing a mural that shows its organizational process and its territorial bets, emphasizing the possibilities that body and plastic expression opened to enrich this meeting and recognition exercise, of a collective life project that seeks food sovereignty and environmental conservation.
