Resumen
This research is part of the research project: writing text genres and difficulties in their production in the context of professions (engineering): case study. The research was conducted at the faculty of technology of the university Francisco Jose de Caldas with students of 1st and 2nd semester, which are pursuing engineering careers. The work aims to analyze one of the texts made by students during his career from the discursive perspective and sociopragmatic aspects. The type object of our work involves theoretical, methodological, technical, linguistic theories of basic and applied sciences aspects, including knowledge, that make it very complex to apprehend and produce. However, it is mandatory realization at different times in their careers and in the finals to qualify for degrees in their university education.Consequently, this research seeks to show an integrative proposal transverse classroom projects, involving different disciplines and specific language skills of understanding and realization. This type of text: descriptive - explanatory is known as memory calculation. Research has allowed us to describe the main shortcomings in the production of this type of writing by students of engineering applied; and we seek to integrate different knowledge, where language is the integrating axis.
