Resumen
Manufacturas Eliot is facing challenges in managing its energy consumption, resulting in efficiency loss and operational costs. Despite achieving some energy savings, the lack of an efficient system for data tracking and management is causing delays, errors, and information duplication. This situation impacts the company's competitiveness and its environmental commitment. Manufacturas Eliot is a textile company with over 60 years in the market, which has ventured into managing its energy consumption to improve efficiency and reduce costs. However, the capture and management of energy data are carried out in a less automated manner, leading to delays, errors, and poor data quality. The lack of standardization and security in information management exacerbates the problem. Three alternatives are proposed to address the issue: the installation of remote metering on all energy meters, the creation of a standardized digital format for data collection, and the adjustment and standardization of the existing physical format. After evaluation, it is decided to implement Alternative II, involving the development of a standardized digital format. This solution will provide immediate benefits such as increased data capture efficiency, reduced errors, quick access to information, and more informed decision-making. The implementation of the selected alternative requires human, technological, and financial resources. Key roles such as project manager, developers, data specialists, and software licenses are highlighted. Additionally, technological infrastructure, internet connectivity, and subscriptions to Microsoft 365 and Power BI are required. The project's implementation will not only improve energy efficiency and reduce operational costs but also contribute to a more sustainable image for the company. This project addresses a critical issue at Manufacturas Eliot by improving the management of its energy consumption. The selection of the appropriate alternative, supported by the necessary resources and the robust existing database, makes it a strategic initiative with a significant impact on the overall performance of the company.
