Resumen
The present investigation aims to understand emotions in the narratives of young people who participated in the social protest in the National Strike on April 28 in 2021 in the city of Santiago de Cali. The narratives of three young people in the resistance points called "Puerto Resistencia" and "UniResistencia" are socialized, focusing on their experiences and feelings about events, spaces and times. It is argued that, by telling and reflecting on the emotions experienced, young people help to reveal modes of resistance and subordination, thus allowing them to come closer to understanding the role that emotions play in the colombian society that has historically experienced more than 60 years of armed conflict and that today, after having signed the Peace, it continues being victim of political polarization. The results of this investigation show that the understanding of the role of emotions in the protest are of great relevance when it comes to rethinking and reforming the role of citizens in their political action and in the construction of peace.
