Resumen
Objective: To design a web tool that allows community mothers in the fourth locality of San Cristóbal to carry out food and nutritional education based on food guidelines for the promotion of healthy eating. Methodology: An exploratory-type creation research project with a mixed approach was developed, in which a web tool was designed for the promotion of food-based dietary guidelines, a semi-structured interview was conducted with 14 community mothers and the testing of the web tool with the participation of 5 nutrition professionals and 6 community mothers, the analysis of the information was carried out using the Excel tool. Results: It was found that 100% of the community mothers carry out food and nutrition education in their daily work and 66% of them search for information about food and nutrition on the Internet; In addition to this, 50% of them are unaware of the GABA-food-based dietary guidelines. Conclusions: It was evidenced that information technologies contribute to the promotion of GABA. It was observed that community mothers are a fundamental agent in the promotion of healthy eating habits.
