Resumen
This project synthesizes the study carried out during the internship at the Autonoma Metropolitana University of Mexico, on Raman spectroscopy of red blood cells, in individuals with and without type II diabetes mellitus, in order to see what characteristics are representative in this disease when we do use of this technique and thus be able to carry out a possible detection of this disease that afflicts thousands of people in the world. The internship was carried out for 6 months, in which a first stage was focused on the search for bibliography, statement of the problem and observation-use of the laboratory facilities, second collection of blood samples, for a total of 6 people, who or did not present the disease and third obtaining the data, with the use of a Jobin-Yvon brand Raman spectrometer, found in the AT001 of the aforementioned university, which has a wavelength laser 532 nm. . In addition, in this study, the power of the laser is varied to observe the possible changes that the spectra appear by changing this, although the results obtained are mainly from blood samples, on the other hand, this work helps us as a calibration method for subsequent studies of both blood and red blood cells.
