Resumen
The conservation of plant and animal species is an issue that has gained considerable strength and importance due to the awareness that has arisen regarding the anthropic intervention (of the human being) in most ecosystems and the positive and negative impact that it has had on the species that inhabit them. Plant species are widely exploited for decorative, medicinal, and food purposes, among many others. These species are mostly cultivated massively, however, they are also removed from their natural habitats for their aesthetic appeal and rarity, which generates much interest in them. The high Andean region of Bogotá has a large number of native plant species that are essential for the maintenance of ecosystems as unique as the moors, so it is necessary for people to know this diversity and care about its conservation. In the development of this work, a workshop on plant reproduction was designed and implemented to raise awareness about the importance of conserving plant species in the high Andean region of Bogotá, so that students who carry out the Environmental Social Service (hereinafter SSA ) in the José Celestino Mutis Botanical Garden of Bogotá (hereinafter JBBJCM) know and value the biodiversity of their territory; the importance of its conservation and approach their context by developing investigative and social skills that provide tools for informed decision-making, with which they actively participate in their communities to solve problems that affect them directly or indirectly.
