Resumen
Learning and memory are closely related neurobiological processes, which are indispensable to us and accompany us throughout life. The use of memory and its various types and functions allows us to recognize the integration of knowledge with lived experiences. Bearing this in mind, the purpose of the following work is to carry out a diagnosis of episodic memory in the generation of learning of students in the 9th and 10th semester of the Chemistry Degree at the Francisco José de Caldas District University, through the narratives of experiences of their teaching, laboratory and field practices. Life stories were chosen as a research technique under the diagnostic instrument; through the interview, having as a first result that, most of the students remember their experiences in teaching practice as a consequence of the recovery of memory traces, through processes of cognition in which the high degree of linked affectivity was evidenced to perceptions, received through the senses. One of the syntheses collected from the work is based on the fact that episodic memory is an integral process, where it is possible to differentiate the responses belonging to a memory and those from knowledge, the latter highlighting for its level of retention and detail in the descriptions, starting from the basic characteristics that represent episodic memory as they are; the spatio-temporal and sensory factors
