Análisis del entorno de gestión documental para el estudio del estado actual y balance de los archivos en Colombia

Abstract

This research explores the context of document management in Colombia and examines institutional advances and persistent challenges in implementing the MGDA model, specifically in the area of document management processes. Based on this analysis, the main opportunities for improving the model are identified and adjustments are proposed to strengthen and optimize the implementation of the MGDA. In addition, a comparison is made between the Colombian model proposed by the AGN and other international models in order to identify good practices that could be adopted in Colombia. We use formats such as the Single Management Progress Report Form (FURAG, 2022) to verify the level of compliance of entities in terms of the implementation of the model in its document management component. The methodology combines a review of current regulations and a qualitative analysis of previous research related to the project's theme and the model itself, as well as semi-structured interviews with experts in the field of document management and archives. This allowed us to identify best practices, strengths, and areas for improvement, provide a brief assessment of the model, and identify future trends in archiving. In relation to the results, improvements are proposed for the document management component of the model, related to the process of assessment, digital preservation, document transfers, and organization. Likewise, a review of the questionnaire aimed at law enforcement agencies is proposed to measure the level of compliance and progress in document management.
