Resumen
This research aimed to analyze the different implications that literary education execution has in the apprenticeship of global citizens, in which the graphic novel Watchmen was the literary work this researched focused on. Following the epistemological patterns of phenomenological research method, and basing the study in a state of the art revision and a theoretical framework relevant for the proposed objectives, a literary workshop is designed, in which a group of teenagers from a private school in Bogotá performed the literary reading of the previously mentioned graphic novel, to check how this exercise led them to identify certain elements which helped the participants recognize themselves as global citizens. After interpreting and analyzing the collected data and the emergent categories from such analysis, it is concluded that literary reading a graphic novel gives the chance for readers to recognize, evaluate and take a stand about the different social phenomena which surround them, thus, by means of integral education, shape themselves as global literary readers, conscious of their reality and compromised with the makeover of it.
