Resumen
The implementation of appropriate technologies has been consolidated as one of the important tools and strategies for the achievement of Sustainable Development in the developing countries. To understand what this tool implies, different authors have given the bases to define them as a concept and the necessary criteria to achieve their design, thus defining what makes a technology appropriate (easy implementation and management, use of raw materials Local, low capital investment, social adaptation, among others). In the case study, appropriate technologies have been designed to optimize economic processes developed by the family group, such as water recirculation technologies, organic waste management, sustainable designs, domestic and industrial wastewater management, quality optimization of water from the aqueduct and reduction of water consumption, not before having carried out the environmental characterization of the territory, the identification and diagnosis of these economic activities and the environmental impacts derived from them.
