This project seeks to formulate a strategy that allows the company Transportes Riaño SAS dedicated to the transport of liquid hydrocarbons nationwide to achieve its objective, which focuses on increasing the operational capacity by 25% over the next 5 years. Therefore, the comparison between the two possible options to achieve it is established; Option No. 1 proposes the acquisition of 10 own vehicles and option No. 2 proposes to link outsourced fleet, which requires an analysis of the main factors that can influence and must be controlled within the proposed strategy. In the analysis, the technical, financial, environmental and environmental aspects were evaluated in order to comprehensively recommend the most viable option and strategies that would lead to achieving the stated objective. Taking into account the results obtained from each aspect, it was determined that the recommended option is the purchase of own vehicles because their financial indicators projected a wider margin for this option, also the technical aspect showed that when purchasing own vehicles there are more control of the risks in the operation and in this way the highest quality standards in the service provided are guaranteed. Regarding the environmental aspect, it showed that new vehicles are more efficient with respect to fuel consumption, thus reducing the total atmospheric emissions of the operation.
