Resumen
The principal idea about this study was estimates the carbon content present in the aerial biomass of 30 individuals of Pseudolmedia laevis (Ruiz & Pav.) J.F. Macbr from the Municipio El Retorno, Departmento of Guaviare from the adjustment of tapering models.
Whit the idea of fulfilling this purpose the diameter measurements were taken at different heights until the maximum possible of all the trees was reached, The data obtained were adjusted to the models of Kozak, Munro, & Smith (1969), Demaerschalk (1972), Lowell (1986) and Riemer (1995) using the software R Studio, and Fiel Maps. whit the objective of estimate volume, the validation of the assumptions of normality, homoscedasticity and autocorrelation was carried out; The model that, according to the graphic analysis and the evaluation matrix constructed, obtained the best goodness of fit was selected, evaluating the adjusted coefficient of determination factors and the predictive capacity through the statistics of the root mean square error (RMSE), aggregate difference (AD), mean absolute error (MAE) and standard deviation of the residuals (SDR). The density was calculated with the method of obtaining dowels and test tubes, which were evaluated for their level of correlation.
The Riemer (1995) model was found to be the best fit with an R2 of 0.9969, a root means square error of 0.014, an aggregate difference of 0.016, a mean absolute error of 0.017 and a standard deviation of the residuals of 0.00035, in addition to being easy to develop and apply, which is why it was selected for carbon estimation. The results of the analysis indicate a mean density of 0.6182 (g/cm3), a positive correlation in the methods of obtaining density, but with low correspondence. The total biomass was 5,450 t, equivalent to 10,019 t of CO2-eq stored in the total number of individuals.
