The monuments in Villavicencio are a faithful representation of the worldview of the llanera identity, where they tell through plastic works the different ways of understanding the plain as it is from history with the founding of the territory, art and culture with legends, the representation of oral narration, music and dance characteristic of the region and the economic factor represented in livestock farming and hydrocarbon extraction, main sources of economic support. This city is the “Gateway to the Plain” and invites you to learn about its history, living memory, the way of understanding and living life through the observation of its monuments in the city.

Los monumentos en Villavicencio son una fiel representación de la cosmovisión de la identidad llanera, donde cuentan por medio de obras plásticas las diferentes formas de entender el llano como lo es desde la historia con la fundación del territorio, el arte y la cultura con las leyendas, la representación de la narración oral, la música y la danza característica de la región y el factor económico representado en la ganadería y la extracción de hidrocarburos, fuentes principales de sustento económico. Esta ciudad es “La puerta al Llano” e invita a conocer su historia, memoria viva, la forma de entender y vivir la vida por medio de la observación de sus monumentos en la ciudad.
