Jaker Mate rumbo a Chapinero Mutantex objetivo calle 45 entre carreras 7 y 13

Abstract

I am a human being who lives in the Chapinero Central district (2011 - 2018); I am a walker and therefore an awakened observer who has seen and felt its architectural transformations. Houses and quintas that become buildings, big machines breaking platforms, young people scratching the walls, workers activating their tools, talking, whistling and hitting the micro-soccer pitcher at lunchtime. All these actions have filled me with emotions, feelings and at the same time suggested that the city of Bogotá is not static and that the capitals of the world are unstoppable in their processes of construction and growth. The architectural changes together with the intervention of graffiti, in the process of construc-tion-destruction began to show that space mutates and is transformed graphically. The curious thing in this story is that I met an extraordinary being, is from another planet and calls himself Jaker Mate, Together with this character I build two moments, the first a temporary space in which we explore the architecture and graffiti of Chapinero central and 45th street between races 7 and 13 in a period between 2011 and 2018 and the second is a trip back in time to that Chapinero of centuries ago (XIX-XX) and that Jaker Mate describes us telling us legends of characters who represented charming stories of the neighborhood in that historical moment. These explorations are the chapters that you will find below, plus the production of a video based on the experience of Jaker Mate in the Chapinero Central neighborhood, 45th street between 7th and 13th career.
