Resumen
This report presents the results obtained during the development of the internship in the company SUPERPOLO S.A.S. whose productive activity is focused on the design and manufacture of vehicles for mass transportation, as a result of this, a large amount of usable, non-usable, organic and hazardous waste is generated, therefore, the objective of the internship is to support the implementation of improvements in the integrated management system of solid waste generated during the production process of the company. Since the company has implemented improvements such as the establishment of a collection center, the installation of bins and containers, the subcontracting of a company for the collection, classification and management of waste, among others, however, during the development of the internship an inadequate waste management was evidenced. This is mainly due to the lack of standardization of the workstations in the collection center to carry out the activities of collection, classification, compaction and storage of waste, which affects the integral management of solid waste, since it shows contamination and inadequate disposal of waste, leading to the loss of material to be used or causing the inadequate management of waste such as ordinary and hazardous waste. In order to provide a solution to the problems identified, a methodological design was proposed based on three (3) phases, evaluation and identification, intervention in collection and internal management of waste and finally the analysis of the potential for utilization of solid waste. In compliance with this methodological design and chronogram, the result was a collection of solid wastes by streams, i.e., collection of ordinary, usable and hazardous wastes in a differentiated manner. Similarly, standardization was achieved in the work stations, the definition of routes, schedules and frequencies that guarantee a correct development of the activities and the recognition of the potential for utilization of the different wastes, guaranteeing the commercialization of new wastes.
