+ Acres proyecto de investigación -creación basada en la Masacre del Salado, Año 2000

Abstract

This document is an exercise in memory of the Collective of Creation and Research La Tesis; It contains reflections that are the result of the staging titled + Acres, a work of collective creation based on the massacre of El Salado - El Carmen district, Bolívar Department -, which occurred between February 16 and 21 of the year 2000, within a period that for the inhabitants of the region is known as the time of the terror of the Montes de María. At the beginning of this process of creation and research, our first reference was the staging; However, when dealing with an issue such as the massacre, it is necessary to turn our gaze towards a country whose history of violence we do not feel part of. Due to the distance involved in belonging to an urban context, such as Bogotá, in which these types of events apparently do not touch us directly, the massacre and displacement seem stories from another place, told and lived by other beings that They are not our own and they are presented to us as appearances on television; to forget it later, thanks to the capacity of the mass media to make important events, of life itself, instants unable to settle in memory.
