Resumen
This study is a didactic research whose objective is to create and implement a strategy that improves the development of school scientific argumentation in students of cycle 3 al IED La Joya school, from the topic of solutions. The research was based on three main aspects, firstly, to make some evaluation categories in three cognitive abilities to argue (explain, describe and justify), secondly the use of the basic argument structure proposed by Toulmin (2007) which has a relationship between the data (D) and the conclusion (C) that are supported by a guarantee (G) and finally the analysis and assessment of the skills through a detailed report of the level wich students began, their process during the intervention of the strategy and the level they reached. It was found that the use of different strategies with research and didactic interests associated with argumentation have an impact in the construction of school scientific knowledge. Therefore, it was possible to strengthen the criteria that allowed students to give their opinion of situations and aspects of their daily life in a more accurate way using an appropriate scientific language.
