Estimación del valor económico a apartir del análisis de los bienes y servicios ambientales identificados en el sendero ecológico de las Moyas- Bogotá D.C.

Abstract

The objective of this work is to estimate the economic value of the environmental assets and services conferred on the route along the ecological trail of the Las Moyas moorland, for this purpose the collection of information was carried out with the users of the trail that allowed establishing the perception and problems identified along the route, with this information the structuring of the proposals to improve the ecosystem services identified on the trail was developed. To estimate the economic value, 60 surveys were carried out and two methodologies were developed, the first through contingent valuation, this made it possible to identify the willingness to pay on the part of the trail users, the second method implemented was the estimation by travel costs, through this methodology a price can be established according to the costs incurred by users to use the trail. Next, through contingent valuation, it was possible to establish that users have a willingness to pay of $20,508 COP, which would allow them access to the trail and make a contribution to its conservation, on the other hand, with the estimate for travel costs it was established that users would be incurring a cost of $9,393 COP to reach the entrance of the trail, Additionally, they were asked about the conditions in which they found the trail and the options they would have to support its conservation. With these responses, it was identified that users are aware of the impact that is generated when visiting these conservation areas and that they should give back in some way to preserve them.
