Navegando con mis emociones: creación de una caja de herramientas para la educación emocional en el contexto escolar

Abstract

The present work of creation: "Sailing with my emotions", derives from the constant authors´ reflection from their interdisciplinarity on the path to the specialization of human development, whose point of interest was focused on the creation of a toolbox for emotional education issues in school settings. This was based on the intervention developed in preschool in the Institución Educativa Distrital (I.E.D) Jairo Aníbal Niño in order to strengthen emotional competencies of boys and girls. Understanding "education" not as synonyme for “conditioning" but giving people the possibility to learn about their emotionality, recognize it, express it, and allow themselves to accept it, understanding that each one fulfills a function and in addition, to acquire tools to manage them. With the creation of the toolbox, the importance of including emotional education from childhood is reaffirmed, since the integral development of the human being will provide children with strategies to prevent possible risk situations or problems related to emotions.
