Conqueror of cosmos - reflexión del sonido de death metal

Abstract

This research work is proposed from the creation of a musical piece based on the analysis, practice and reflection of the work of the Ripping Flesh group, addressing the characteristics that define the death metal sound and how young people identify or meet around this type of music, from the sounds, the lyrics, the imaginaries and the aesthetics in general characteristic of the musical style, to manifest itself before its realities and to express before society its position in front of the world, finding in it a possibility to re-configure their contexts and spaces in common, thus generating an agency from the territories, signifying and transforming social problems through expression and union through musical language. This creative research work aims to contribute to the consolidation of this type of music as an articulating agent of meaning and space for the construction of subjects, making a contribution in the construction of knowledge about this musical genre.
