Diseño de un sistema de planificación, administración y control de inventarios para PYMES metalmecánicas de la localidad de Puente Aranda

Abstract

A proposal for a technological tool is exposed, which allows planning, managing and controlling inventories in SMEs in the metal-mechanic sector in the Puente Aranda neighborhood in the city of Bogotá, Colombia. The business structure of the Puente Aranda neighborhood offers the possibility of carrying out research and gathering information on the companies that make up its business fabric and its classification, to generate an analysis of the companies dedicated to the metal-mechanic sector and provide a solution to the problems that are presented for the management of their inventories. This investigative document was carried out during the COVID-19 pandemic, which exacerbated the problems in companies in the metal-mechanic sector, such as changing demand, international competition, biosafety restrictions and economic impact, for this reason, a free computer tool was developed, that allows SMEs in this sector to implement their production process, the precise and timely supply of their raw materials, meet the delivery times of their final product, control their productivity and increase the reliability in the orders that their customers demand, making use of the calculation of demand forecasts, entering input variables as product references and calculating material requirements planning (MRP).
