This document is an internship report entitled “Thought skills (HBP); strengths and weaknesses”, carried out at the Fontibon IED Technical Institute in order to bring children from the third, fourth and fifth grades of primary education, development and strengthening of basic thinking skills (HTA) with activities carried out and structured according to the standard norm in natural science competitions MEN. (Ministry of National Education) 2004. This involved the planning, organization and execution of activities that are contextualized with the interaction of light and sound for students in relation to a phenomenon or situation. In the present report, the results have been established during the course of the internship as well as the introduction, and three chapters on which this work is based. In the first one is the context of realization in which there is a description, understanding and recognition of the student population and the institution. In Chapter 2 we find the construction of references (Methodological, epistemological, physical and normative), which include the structure of the work for the development of the project. Chapter 3 relates to the planning, execution and interpretation of activities; these are oriented to the teaching of science through the construction of physical models with reusable material that allow to bring students to a notion of the exploration of technology and the care of the environment. It is important to emphasize that these activities were carried out in the development of competences; proposed by Icfes stories such as: Creative thinking, analytical reasoning, critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork and communication. Finally the reader was found with the reflections and the final results as well as the bibliography and the corresponding annexes
