Resumen
Using free-software tools, it is designed and built and Data Acquisition System (DAQ), hardware and software, which has as a main function characterizing low-power solar panels, taking into account the measurement of temperature, current, voltage, and irradiance, for red, green, and blue length waves ranges. In this document it is described, in an easy way, the principal techniques to characterized a solar panel. Furthermore, it is explained how to develop the data acquisition, starting from the use and electrical connection of sensors, to the software design, through the framework ROOT. Also, the system is evaluated by a software calibration, which helps to determine the ranges and accuracy for all the measurements made by the DAQ. Finally, it is characterized a solar panel in which is possible to identify the variables that determine the optimal function respect to the electrical potential.
