Resumen
The intestinal parasitism caused by protozoa in preschool children causes significant conditions in public health, such as Giardia spp, Cryptosporidium spp, Cyclospora spp, Blastocystis spp, and Entamoeba histolytica complex / E. dispar, whose most frequent clinical manifestations are diarrheic conditions, abdominal pain, vomiting, inappetence and malnutrition. The factors associated with the transmission of these entities are related to hygienic-sanitary and environmental conditions among which can be highlighted lack of aqueduct and sewer system, overcrowding conditions, poor hygiene habits, care associated with the possession of domestic animals, presence mechanical vectors near the places of residence, inadequate management of waste, poor food consumption with washing processes including fruits, vegetables and bad cooking processes, rural life, outdoor fecalism, among others.
