Resumen
The present investigation identifies the existence of difficulties to carry out the inferential reading presented by third grade students, belonging to cycle 2 of primary basic education. Next, the research background is developed based on 16 studies carried out in the field of this research and presented in the categories of inferential reading, narrative texts and comprehensive reading. Subsequently, the problem is delimited through the review of institutional documents of the FDI Montebello. There are included two diagnostic surveys applied to teachers and two to students, in addition to two practical reading tests on short narrative texts. Faced with the need to improve the reading processes, the project is developed, for which the following question is posed: How can we favor the inferential reading process in a group of students from cycle two of the IED Montebello? From this delimitation of the problem a theoretical investigation is made in the inferential processes from the cognitive theory and the structural analysis of narrative texts. Finally, a methodological design is proposed from the interpretative perspective and the Action Research, which starts from reflecting on educational practices, to plan actions that improve said practices. In this perspective it is decided to work on these inferential processes from workshops on narrative texts, in the literary genre of the short story.
