Diseño y planeación del sistema de gestión ambiental bajo los requerimientos de la NTC ISO 14001:2015 en la constructora Carranza S.A.S.

Abstract

Initially, an analysis is made in the organization of the documents they have at the time of implementing the environmental management system. In this analysis, shortcomings were detected regarding the few advances that the organization has achieved in said system, in the same way it is possible to show that they have with few processes and activities to be carried out in the environmental part. On the other hand, it is possible to demonstrate that there is no documentation allowing the environmental management system due to this, an opportunity for improvement is evidenced so that the organization can fully comply with the current requirements demanded by environmental entities. The main objective that will be carried out in the organization will be the design of the environmental management system. For the present work, it will be designed from scratch and will have the updated legal requirements, thanks to this the construction company will be able to comply with environmental regulations, which allows as a student to consolidate knowledge learned during the course of the career. Throughout history, environmental management systems have been of great importance since 1970, it has been possible to demonstrate the implementation of these systems. In Colombia, the main environmental management plan used is the ISO 14001 standard, which was inspired by the "British model BS 8555 that was published in 1992, as a product of the global environmental movement that originated in the 1970s and was represented at the Stockholm convention in 1972. (Solid, 2011). At a global level, environmental problems are becoming more extreme, which requires actions that provide protection to natural resources, one of the tools that allows "achieving a balance between the environment, society and economy are considered essential to meet the needs of the present without compromising the needs of future generations in meeting their needs.” (International Organization for Standardization, 2015) is ISO 14001 which will be implemented in this work in order to achieve the design and planning of an environmental management system, which contributes to Colombian society in reducing negative environmental impacts. Thanks to this, little by little, efforts can be made to make Colombia a benchmark in environmentally friendly construction.
