Resumen
Obtaining the financing of entrepreneurship projects is usually the greatest challenge for people and companies that have potentially successful ideas, because normally they do not have their own capital, they do not identify possibilities of investment of capital from a family member or friend, and it is impossible or very difficult to access bank loans to carry out the project. Consequently, it is common for these ideas to wither away without even making them a reality due to ignorance of other financing methods, for example, the iNNpulsa Fund, the Emprender Fund, Minciencias or the one that will be studied in this document, Crowdfunding. According to INCyTU (2017), this last alternative “allows access to capital, to people and organizations that are excluded from traditional financing mechanisms, or to access them at a lower cost”.
In addition to the holders of investment projects, there are, on the other hand, inexperienced investors in Crowdfunding who are looking for alternatives to invest their capital waiting for some return; however, they do not know how they can participate in this model, along with the risks and benefits that it entails.
Thinking of entrepreneurs, especially MSMEs that have stagnant projects because it is difficult for them to obtain capital through traditional means and investors who are eager to be part of potentially profitable new businesses, the idea was born of developing an orientation guide so that those involved understand the operation of Crowdfunding in Colombia and take advantage of this new financing phenomenon.
