Resumen
This thesis focuses on the development of a guide for the conformity assessment of protective helmets intended for use on motorcycles, ATVs, scooters, tricycles, and similar devices. This guide aims to document and explain the standardized process that ensures the effective evaluation of this protective equipment. The research addresses the need to establish a clear framework for describing how helmet conformity is assessed, ensuring that they meet rigorous quality standards. The study begins by gathering detailed information on helmet manufacturing processes, their uses, and current safety regulations. A review of existing literature and studies is conducted to understand the critical aspects of conformity assessment. Based on this knowledge base, an initial version of the guide is developed, which includes criteria and procedures for the evaluation of protective helmets. To ensure the guide's applicability and relevance, validation was conducted with technical experts, manufacturers/importers, and users to validate the content through surveys. The methodology employs surveys and data analysis. Feedback from technical experts, manufacturers/importers, and users is used to adjust and refine the guide, ensuring it accurately describes the conformity assessment process. The expected results are a detailed, validated guide that provides a clear framework for helmet conformity assessment. The thesis contributes to the documentation of the assessment process, facilitating the understanding of regulatory compliance.
