Resumen
In the project titled Delimitation of a 1: 5000 scale watershed in the Municipality of El Zulia, Norte de Santander, Colombia, a comparison study is carried out between the elevation data of 3M and 30M respectively, starting with the adjustment of the data, in which WGS 1984 Zone 18N is projected to the system of origins and distribution of Magna Sirgas corresponding to the Bogotá origin, that is to say Magna Colombia Bogotá, verifying the balance relationship between quality and pixel coverage for each DEM; after that, it is found that the municipality is delimited by the Zulia River basin and the Sardinata River basin. Therefore, for the 1: 5000 scale process with the 3M DEM, the determination and accumulation of raster flow is made, elaborating the conditional to obtain the simple drains and organizing the information by means of the Strahler method, transforming to shapafile format and thus elaborate the adequacy of the symbology and define the 4 intermittent simple drainage networks and the permanent simple drains. Therefore, the same procedure is performed for the 1: 100000 scale with the 30M DEM where only permanent single drains are located; which makes it possible to compare the elevation data by scale, quantity of intermittent and permanent simple drains, total polylines and length; as well as analyzing the socio-economic dynamics, based on agricultural production for the cultivation of rice occupying 10.3% of the total area of the municipality and the recognition for the study of military land of the Groups at the Margin of the Law. Finally, the Database is fed by correcting the raster data and projection of the available data, to the respective origins of Magna Sirgas according to the 3M information provided by the Colombian National Army.
