Abstract

The teaching of science requires the use of practical and experimental tools. To ensure that these tools are safe for students, teachers, and laboratory workers in the science laboratories of the Salesian Consortium, this project aims to design an occupational and institutional safety system aligned with Ministerial Directive 67 of the National Ministry of Education. A methodology has been proposed to achieve this objective, divided into three phases, which included literature reviews and participant observation actions, followed by a second qualitative phase that measured the impact of the interventions through surveys and interviews. As a result, the School Science Laboratory Manual has been created, along with the biological and chemical risk management program, as well as the labeling and storage of chemical substances in the laboratory.
