Resumen
In the present work we find a synthesis of the evaluation carried out at the First Evacuation Simulation in the Nocturnal Conference of the Faculty of Environment and Natural Resources (FAMARENA) of the Francisco José de Caldas District University, in order to verify the veracity and efficiency of the contingency plan and emergency of said educational institution, assessing the amount of population that must be evacuated in a public calamity event of great magnitude, the amount of resources that the institution has to attend to fluctuating population, staff with which it has in the event of an emergency, the responsiveness of the university community and the control measures that must be improved to safeguard the safety of the same. For the accomplishment of the exercise we counted on a work team of 42 students of the Curricular Projects Technology in Environmental Sanitation and Environmental Management and Public Services and 25 officials of the Faculty between Teachers and Administrators that lent their collaboration to carry out the whole deployment and assembly needed to perform the exercise. These formed support brigades which were assigned specific tasks for support. At seven o'clock at night (7:00 p.m.), the exercise was executed on October 29, 2014, where about 777 people were evacuated among employees, teachers and students, with a mean evacuation time of 17 minutes between two identified meeting points (Multiple Court and parking lot), ending with the exercise half an hour after its initiation (7:32 pm).
