Resumen
This work relates some microscopic images with measurements of physicochemical and microbiological parameters that have been taken in five different points of the Tunjuelito river, in the city of Bogotá. The sampling points were selected taking into account differences in population density and specific characteristics of the water round. The parameters analyzed at each sampling point were: Turbidity, electrical conductivity, settleable solids, total solids, chlorides, COD and pH. Additionally, Total and fecal Coliform counts were performed using the most probable number technique. All samples were analyzed immediately after sampling and handling was reduced to the minimum required for testing. As a result of this process, microscopic images and physicochemical and microbiological data associated with each of the sampling points were obtained, in order to consolidate a database that allows identifying and relating macro and microscopic images with the analytical composition of the samples and In this way, generate a 'biometric identification' system capable of identifying problem samples on a previously constructed database.
