Guía de adecuación de espacios y mobiliario: orientaciones para la accesibilidad en un CADEP ACACIA

Abstract

The document “Guide for the adaptation of spaces and furniture: Guidelines for accessibility in an ACACIA CADEP”, co-funded by the European Union's Erasmus+ program, provides technical and practical guidelines for making Support Centers for the Development of Public Spaces (CADEP) accessible within the framework of the ACACIA project. The document examines general concepts of disability and accessibility, as well as principles of universal design. It also provides specific guidelines for the adaptation of spaces and furniture in university environments. To ensure the inclusion and autonomy of people with disabilities, the principles of accessibility in infrastructures, signage, pedestrian routes and laboratories are highlighted. In addition, relevant international and local regulations are cited, as well as a glossary of terms. It serves as a tool for the university community, as well as planners and designers. This allows for an inclusive and accessible environment.
