Resumen
The monograph presented below is the result of a complete bibliographic review of mycorrhizal fungi and particularly the mycelium that can be reused as construction biomaterial in Colombia; It is from sustainable development and its objectives that the mycelium of fungi can be studied, guidelines can be given for sustainable constructions in the Colom territory taking into account the existing standard and the detailed engineering that allows evaluating the resistance of the material its use and management. The methodology used in the monograph is the case study that presents a logical sequence of how to address the issue of mycorrhizal fungi, in particular the mycelium, within an existing alternative in Colombia of packaging, stabilization through insulating brick, supports or reinforcements that would help reduce production costs in construction materials. In summary, making use and proper management of fungi has significant advantages over the development of alternative materials with a great disadvantage and that is the need to be able to carry out resistance tests on materials in order to be included within a Colombian standard for their proper management. . An important conclusion of the monograph is to continue with experimental design studies to carry out tests and trials and find significant differences in the use of this material with other alternative materials that can give added value to the economic sustainability of the use of natural resources.
