This work inquired about the signs used by deaf students to explain a physical phenomenon and were subsequently compared with the sign proposed by fenascol1, to discuss the sense and meaning of the signs used by the students and by FENASCOL in physics learning process .this work was developed with the participation of students with hearing impairment of 11th grade of district school in the city of Bogotá. data collection was based on the development of an experimental practice with intermediation of the interpreter, which was intended to allow the development of the activity in the traditional setting of the students. it was carried out an intervetion qualitative research which was divided into the following research phases: 1) analysis of the context in which it was attempt to intervene 2) preparation of the material and dialogue with the interpreter 3) intervention in class and data collection 4) data analysis. to this was applied a free fall practicum which was divided into three sections: the first was to ask students to observed the fall of two spheres with equal mass. the second was to ask students to observed the fall of two spheres with different masses, and finally was developed a session of questions from what was observed in the two previous sessions. as a general result we can said that the perception of the students study, use the signs proposed by FENASCOL to explain physical phenomena, however, they do not give a scientifically meaning, when they want to delve into explanations, their invent signs, gestures or expressions to expand or define more precisely their explanation.
