Resumen
The study of the glass transition temperature (Tg) in polymers results an interesting field due to its importance in the milling industry cryogenic. However, to find this value it is necessary to use techniques that in the market and the academy are not accessible. The foregoing encourages researchers to find new study techniques that allow the industry and especially to academia to understand the behavior of polymers in glass transition states. In the following investigative work, it is intended to provide a new technique to detect the Tg range in end-of-life tires (NFU), since in this state the material is at its most brittle and is sprayed with the least amount applied energy. For this, the parametric behavior between the glass transition temperature and grain size NFU by analysis granulometry. In order to meet this objective, a montage is developed that allow the tire samples to be impacted at equal load conditions and, Subsequently, a granulometry test is carried out in order to trace the characteristic curve of the material at different temperature ranges. By plotting the behavior of the granulometric curve between the ranges of - 40 to -50 ° C, -51 to -60 ° C and -61 to -70 ° C it is observed how the percentage of particulate fine increases exponentially at low temperatures and how in parallel the Larger granules decrease as expected. This job offers the development of a new method of correlation between the behavior of polymeric materials and particle size analysis.
