Resumen
Characterizing the Social Representations of the City built by a group of Children of 8 and 9 years of age is part of a concern that arises after contrasting and finding distances in three aspects that are part of the proposals that support the educational process; On the one hand, there are the approaches described within the official documents of the school that regarding subjects proposes subjects capable of understanding and influencing their environment, on the other hand, there is the consideration towards the Social Sciences as those in charge of forming for the action and finally there is the pedagogical practice carried out day by day in the classroom that is continuously locked in the classroom. From there begins a tour that gives an account of the images, information and attitudes that are part of the vision of the city of children that is structured from dynamics that include personal experience, the stories that about the city are communicated by their relatives and urban legends, which are combined with the speeches and images from the media.
