Resumen
On May 25, 2015, a decree is signed in Colombia that regulates in Law 1732 of 2015, the implementation of the Peace Chair in all educational institutions in the country of pre-school, basic and medium, both official and private, and must be mandatory. The purpose of the Chair of Peace has been to “ encourage the process of appropriation of knowledge and skills related to the territory, culture, economic and social context and historical memory, in order to rebuild the social fabric, promote general prosperity and guarantee the effectiveness of the principles, rights and duties enshrined in the Constitution “Law 1732, Decree 1038). This decree establishes that the institutions must include a new subject (Peace Chair) in their study plans before December 31 of the year in which the decree was signed. However, this is quite far from the current reality of our country. The objective of this research is to determine how the implementation of the chair of peace affects teaching practices and the curricular structure of some official schools in Bogotá. In accordance with the above, the question is: ¿How has the implementation of the peace chair affected teaching practices and the curricular structure of some educational institutions in Bogotá? The research question is answered through an analysis that involves conducting interviews with different teachers in both public and private educational institutions, having as its central axis four categories that are immersed in this research: Chair of Peace, teaching practices, curriculum and transversality.
