Resumen
Geographic information systems are a vital tool in the process of developing networks for the distribution of products, since they integrate and analyze large volumes of information, due to a series of parameters pre-established by the system and others established. This facilitates the design of distribution networks, on which the present work is focused, at present the companies need to optimize their economic, human and technological resources, in order to have greater profitability, saving on operating costs, besides other benefits directed to its customers as the proper handling of the demand of orders. This also ensures the competitiveness of companies in the market. The design of distribution networks can be focused in two ways: improving the current distribution method which we will apply in this work, or adapting the distribution form to market growth projections. With all of the above, it seeks to provide the company with a tool to provide options in decision making on logistics issues, in addition to showing a relatively new field of work in the area of geomatics such as network design.
