Resumen
By appropriating a content and at the same time exposing it to changes, as experienced and developed in this thesis, we are not trying to find a historical or cultural balance of the acting music, nor do we want to generate any type of controversy among connoisseurs or observers, (of establishing to what extent the original source is changed or not), since the work of taking and transforming a musical piece or including foreign elements in it absorbs different musical origins where the identity of the acting music is compromised, which in this case corresponds to the transformation of the musical styles that will be dealt with. Being this a rhythmic musical creation, it will be a question of exposing to what extent the initial structure of these rhythms (rumba, bunde and porro chocoano) will be changed or not, allowing a work of stylization that in terms of fusion, as explained by Ilza Nogueira in her thesis "Intertextual Miscegenation in Contemporary Music" means that the introduction of personal treatment and creative attitude to the appropriated object will be made possible. Therefore, in the work developed with the acting music of this project there is an intention to give another perspective to its original rhythm and to try to connect it with tools of a different rhythmic musical vocabulary, thus becoming an experimental and ambiguous proposal in the field of a versatile instrument such as the drums.
