Resumen
The following paper elaborates on the categorization, transcription, digitalization and edition of colombian musical pieces, done within the macro project that belongs to the Center of Documentation of Arts (CDA, for its acronym in Spanish) Gabriel Esquinas, rooted on the research work named Colombian studies for piano by music professors Arminda Marcial and Aurelio Caro. 12 piano pieces by the music compositor Emilio Murillo were digitalized and this was accomplished after compiling and selecting them as teaching material from the previously mentioned investigation. To carry out this project, the YouTube platform was used as technical support to receive training on the use of the 25th version of Finale software. Likewise, the Google search engine was used to extract the information required to develope and bring to context the main topic of this paper. Additionally, a field journal was kept in order to create a report on the activities performed, the findings and difficulties encountered throughout the digitalization process. To conclude, the edited sheet music compilation corresponding to the 12 music pieces for piano was attached along with the original material used as reference during the editing process.
