Resumen
The airworthiness control bodies, such as ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) and the Civil Aeronautics of Colombia, have established guidelines to ensure the air and land safety of air passengers and people close to airports, among these guidelines are the obstacle-limiting surfaces of the airfield and airport runways, which are virtual, and are limiting for any type of infrastructure that is built near them. Due to the fact that currently some people in charge of the design and construction of civil works in the immediate vicinity of the airports do not carry out an adequate analysis of interference with this limiting surfaces, a QGIS plugin called RISLO is designed, which allows the optimization of the calculation of limiting surfaces of obstacles and interference analysis generated by buildings near the airport. In this case, the three airports with the highest air traffic in Colombia were chosen, the “El Dorado” Airport in the city of Bogotá, the “José María Córdova” Airport in the city of Rionegro and the “Rafael Núñez” Airport in the city of Cartagena.
