Resumen
With the increase in telecommunications service requirements of networks worldwide, for applications such as VozIP, IoT applications, and other technologies, the consumption of network resources has increased throughout the planet, which causes that networks are congested and their performance decreases. However, in recent years, software-defined networks (SDN) have emerged, which allow monitoring, controlling and automating the behavior of a network, improving the control and general performance of the network. The objective of this study is to determine how an SD-WAN network affects some of the quality of service (QoS) parameters present in a traditional WAN network. To this end, the concept and behavior of the throughput, packet loss, jitter and recovery time parameters are studied. In this context, a test scenario is designed with a high-speed network with a mesh topology, which is subjected to various emulation scenarios using the Mininet tool and the ONOS controller of the SDWAN network.
