Resumen
The purpose of this research is to present the findings and conclusions that arise from the implementation of the MIRATE project (Media and image for literacy and audiovisual reflection as a social fabric), in the José Martí IED District School, in the observation of the experience of audiovisual writing of high school students. This is framed in an interpretive paradigm with a qualitative approach whose objective is to present how the class is transformed into a communication workshop that manages to transcend the borders of the physical space of the school with its productions in a territory of peace. Authors such as Cassany (2012), Ferreiro (2000), Barthes (1992), among others, see it necessary for language to be enriched by the influence of technology, adapting the media to the activities of teaching and learning. As a result, the narration of the subjects was obtained, the reflections from the actions to improve educational practices. Finally, the systematization of the project shows the impact on adolescents that strengthens their autonomy, the formation of critical and ethical social subjects, as stated by Halliday (1978).
