Resumen
Within the set of areas belonging to SINAP, is the Sanctuary of Fauna and Flora Guanentá Alto Río Fonce, declared on 18 November 1993 through Executive Resolution 170 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development – MADR, in order to preserve species, animal and plant communities of scientific importance conservation of genetic resources of the fauna and flora of high mountain ecosystems. Within this protected area, different communities lived creating the need to develop strategies that would allow conservation restoration of the areas. This internship aimed to support the implementation of Participatory Ecological Restoration processes (REP) on the Medellin site, located in the municipality of Encino – Santander, in the jurisdiction of the Sanctuary of Fauna and Flora Guanentá Alto Río Fonce, under the institutional guidelines proposed by UAESPNN, where REP's strategic line is implemented to minimize negative effects on ecosystems who have or have had peasant occupation, to reverse damage caused by different types of disturbances that deteriorate the composition, structure and function of ecosystems and values conserving the protected area, impact on the services they provide; so, through work jointly with the local population, aims to materialize REP projects to improve in the medium and long term the ecosystems involved, established in the current management plan of the area.
