Abstract

The optimization of the mixing process happens when analyzing a compound mixing equipment for the manufacture of PVC pipe, which operates with times and parameters of standard temperatures. The production time optimization model of this equipment is performed in two phases, the first one focuses on the decrease of the cycle times, linked to the operation of the equipment and the second is the optimization using mathematical model that improves the set up Between compound changes. The study was carried out on one of the machines with greater capacity, which performs the mixing of additives for the production of the compound, main component for its final product which is the PVC pipe, therefore, it is the initial process and the most Important within the company, because of this depends the fluidity of production.
